Shoot for the Moon. Exploring Outer Space

This small book traces humanity’s enduring curiosity and ambition to explore the unknown, from the first photograph ever taken, View from the Window at Le Gras, to the historic Moon landing of 1969. Through a collection of images and texts, the book tells a story of human determination, the desire to look beyond immediate boundaries, and the childlike curiosity that drives discovery and achievement.

It reflects on the insatiable drive to reach further, to set ambitious goals, and ultimately to venture into space. More than fifty years after the Moon landing, humanity continues to look outward, with the dream of returning to the Moon and even establishing settlements no longer a fantasy but a tangible possibility. Interwoven throughout is a reflection on the dual nature of scientific progress: like a curious child, science continually discovers and creates, but rarely stops to question the consequences of its own actions.

The book is both a celebration of human perseverance and a meditation on the responsibilities that come with the power to reach beyond the familiar.
